General Notes

Third and final gyutan place that we went to, my choice for my favorite out of the four. This place is one of the most highly rated on Tabelog (3.8) and there's a pretty long line for this place, correspondingly. Since this was our last one, we ordered a "proper meal" for this one and tried a while bunch of their miscellaneous a la carte items. The gyutan was the perfect combination of tender, juicy, charred, and flavorful. I dream of this gyutan.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★☆ boiled gyutan -- pretty standard, more like lengua or the chinese style.
  • ★★★☆ kakuni -- decent, beef tongue flavor is surprisingly intense, it's really really tender.
  • ★★★★ gyutan tataki -- served closer to medium rare, with onions, green onions, and a tart sauce. Eating everything together is refreshing and so delicious.
  • ★★★★ gyutan set menu -- gyutan, pickled vegetables, some kind of miso paste, rice, tail soup. Tender, juicy, charred, flavorful, this is the perfect combination.
