General Notes

Amazing gyutan restaurant in Sendai Station. I wasn't even particularly hungry but I ended up eating a ton because it was just so good. Right up there with the other amazing gyutan restaurants. This one is served a bit closer to medium-rare, so it's more bouncy and juicy but still manages to maintain that amazing char plus flavor. It's interesting that each of the gyutan places that I went to is slightly different, and they're all delicious in their own unique way. It's crazy that such an amazing place is nestled right under Sendai station. And it's also crazy that after having gyutan for the fifth time in 3 days, I'm still not tired of it and craving more. I'm going to miss this.

  • ★★★★ gyutan -- this is where it's at. gyutan, pickled vegetables, miso vegetables, pickled gyutan, rice, soup, mochi. Tender, juicy, charred, bouncy, flavorful, hits all the spots.
  • ★★☆☆ gyutan curry -- meh, it's okay but the beef tongue is a little dry and the flavor of the curry is only ok.
  • ★★★☆ oyster -- ginormous oyster fo 990 yen, served with green onion and ponzu; it's super satisfying and delicious
