General Notes

An interesting Californian restaurant in the heart of Pasadena. Eclectic menu with a bit of everything on it. Food is okay but with notable flaws.

Positives

> A small point, but I really like their curved tables that follow the curvature of their booth seating; makes for a more intimate experience.

Negatives

> Parking is quite limited at this location. Your best bet is the parking garage nearby, whcih is $1 per 20 minutes up to a max of $10.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★☆☆ Chipotle Lime Shrimp Bowl -- The flavors and individual components are actually quite good. The shrimp is cooked well, and the components work well together. The dish is unfortunately much more oily and heavy than is necessary.
  • ★☆☆☆ Apple Goat Cheese Flatbread -- Sliced apples, caramelized onions, goat cheese, drizzle of honey, fresh thyme. The flavor combination is actually quite good, but the dish is too sweet and it overpowers the other components. The thyme flavor is a bit too strong.
