General Notes

The food here is very cheap, and you get to experience authentic Xi'an cuisine. There are some execution flaws in the food, but in general the food is pretty good.

Negatives

> This place is cash only.
> The restaurant itself is pretty small and doesn't have the best interior decor. The food is served in shitty plastic containers, which I normally wouldn't really mind, but in this case it actually detracts from the eating experience quite a lot.
> Only open from 11am to 6:30pm on most days, so realistically you can't come here for dinner.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★☆☆ 油泼面 -- It's decent, but a bit too watery for my taste. I strongly prefer the 油泼面 at 三好拉面
  • ★☆☆☆ 羊肉泡馍 -- Instead of adding the bread into the soup, they just give you the bread and the soup separately. Unfortunately, the bread was way too dry and really didn't taste very good.
  • ★★☆☆ 羊肉汤面 -- Pretty good, but I felt that the flavor fell a bit flat, since the flavor of the soup didn't penetrate the noodles very well.
  • ★★★☆ Cumin lamb noodle -- The flavor seemed ever so slightly off, but as a whole this dish was very good.
  • ☆☆☆☆ 肉夹馍 -- Both the meat and the bun are really dry, and yet the meat is still really greasy.
