General Notes
Decent restaurant near St. Helena. They highlight the farm-to-table nature of their restaurant a lot -- in fact they supposedly produce a lot of their own beef. Cool restaurant with good vibes. The food is solid but not super noteworthy.
Dishes Tasted
- ★★★☆ broccolini -- lemon, garlic, chili flake. Sauteed very well!
- ★★☆☆ osso buco + saffron risotto -- osso buco is decent, although a touch dry. The saffron risotto was quite good, although a touch salty.
- ★★★☆ smoked chicken wings -- alabama white sauce. Could be a touch more tender but I like the lightly smoky flavor and the alabama white sauce is nice.
- ★★☆☆ beef tartare -- farm egg, capers, cornichon, spicy mayo, baguette. Decent but not particularly notable. The beef was chopped relatively large chunks, which I liked
- ★☆☆☆ salad of garden lettuces -- green goddess, apples, sunflower seeds. Pretty meh, not a fan of the apples or the sunflower seeds
