General Notes

Fang is an odd Chinese restaurant that sits somewhere in between Chinese and American Chinese food. Like many Chinese restaurants, they serve all kinds of random dishes without any clear coherence. The food is ok, not bad but relatively forgettable. Service is poor. They portray themselves as very famous and well-known but definitely don't deliver on that promise.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★☆☆ Garlic Broccoli -- Simple but good dish. A bit watery, but I the flavor and cook on the broccoli are good.
  • ★★☆☆ Spicy Fish Filet with Pickled Vegetables -- Decent dish. The fish fillet had a nice texture but wasn't quite as tender as I would have hoped. The pickled vegetables are good (not too overpowering). The dish name is somewhat misleading -- it's not spicy at all.
  • ★☆☆☆ Twice Cooked Pork Belly -- The flavor was good, but god the pork was dry. I did not enjoy the texture at all - it resembled jerky.
