General Notes

Literally translates to "the taste of my kitchen". This is a random Mexican restaurant in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere called Lindsay (which apparently is like 90% hispanic). A lot of people have been going here because it got popular on xhs (probably as a stop after sequoia), and that's how we ended up here as well. Overall, the food is okay, it's about what you'd expect from a cheap Mexican restaurant. It's very affordable and the owner is super friendly and nice. He says he even gave us a little extra in our molcajete (which I believe as it was way too much food, lol).

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★☆☆ molcajete -- chicken, carne asada, sausage, chorizo, nopales, cheese, avocado, and a thick sauce served in a mortar / pestle. The sauce is nice, the combination of salsa, sauce, cheese, guacamole, meat, and tortilla was satisfying. The meats themselves were all okay at best (the carne asada probably was the best), the sauce was pretty yummy though. Served with rice, beans, and tortillas.
