General Notes
Eggslut is a pretty well known breakfast / brunch place located in the heart of the Cosmopolitan. They're best known for their "slut", a jar of egg + potato puree served with toasted baguette. It's definitely overrated, but not a bad option if you're looking for the experience and need breakfast. Just don't get their sausage -- it's awful.
Negatives
> Bring your own water. They don't offer water cups, just bottled drinks. And bottled water will run you $6, which is pretty typical of upscale Vegas hotels.
Dishes Tasted
- ★★★☆ Truffle Hash Brown -- duck fat, truffle, rosemary. Delicious! Tastes similar to a McDonald's hash brown but a bit better. The duck fat does make a difference, and the truffle is subtle but noticeable.
- ★☆☆☆ Fairfax Sandwich -- cage free soft scrambled eggs, chives, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, sriracha mayo, warm brioche bun. I added turkey sausage, and that was a huge mistake -- it tasted awful. The eggs are pretty good actually, but they don't function super well in a sandwich form, and the brioche bun was awful (it was really drying).
- ★★☆☆ The Slut -- coddled egg, smooth potato puree, gray salt, chives, slices of baguette. Pretty good; the egg is cooked well and the potato puree is a nice touch.
