General Notes
Demiya is a restaurant specializing in Japanese curry. I went to their San Jose location, but they also have a location in Cupertino and are building a third location in Dublin. A friend recommended this place and I was not disappointed! What stood out to me most was the consistency of the curry -- it was thick and luscious but still fluid, making for a delightful mouth-feel.
Positives
> You can customize your spice level -- I found the +1 option to be a good balance.
Negatives
> The ordering system is a little jank -- you can't order with the servers, you have to use the QR code to order. The restaurant is run more like a fast-casual place, where you just seat yourself.
Dishes Tasted
- ★★★☆ Tonkatsu Curry Rice -- deep-fried pork cutlet served with curry and steamed rice. The pork was very slight overcooked, but otherwise pretty much a picture-perfect curry rice. The curry is DELIGHTFUL. It's thick and luscious with a perfect consistency, flavor is solid too.
