General Notes

A lovely ice cream shop towards the north end of Temescal. I've tried several of their flavors (mexican chocolate, young coconut, Thai tea, pistachio, bourbon whiskey vanilla), and the ice cream is delightful! What stands out is that they have a lot of vegan options (about half of their flavors at any point), and they're surprisingly good. I think I've been slightly traumatized by halo top during college (which is truly awful). Not all of the flavors are hits but their ice cream is solid overall.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★☆ Bourbon Whiskey Vanilla -- Simple and delicious; the alcohol is subtle but definitely present. My only complaint is that there were a couple of small ice shards in the ice cream, which detracted from the experience somewhat.
  • ★☆☆☆ Pistachio -- (vegan) oddly salty, when combined with the somewhat grainy texture and cashew base, it tasted more like nuts than ice cream.
  • ★★☆☆ Thai Tea -- (vegan) decent flavor and nice texture, but I'm not the biggest fan of Thai tea in general
  • ★★★☆ Young Coconut -- (vegan) creamy, perfect balance of flavor; it also balanced nicely with the mexican chocolate
  • ★★★☆ Mexican Chocolate -- (vegan) nice texture, hint of cinnamon was nice. A bit unplesantly grainy, but overall good
