General Notes

Crepevine is a chain restaurant with plenty of locations across the Bay; I've been to the Mountain View and Palo Alto locations. Food is not _terrible_, but it certainly isn't good either. It swings towards an "upscale modern American diner" vibes: huge portions, everything's served with potatoes and salad.

Positives

> The menu is huge and there are lots of options for any particular craving. Not really a positive for me, but might be nice if you're with a big group.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★☆☆☆ Mediterranean Sandwich -- grilled eggplant, roasted peppers, tomatoes, pesto, and provolone on grilled focaccia. This sandwich has zero structural integrity -- I had to eat it with a fork and knife. The flavor combination is pretty good but it badly needs textural contrast. Focaccia is not the right bread -- it offers zero crunch. The fries are good, though.
  • ★☆☆☆ San Francisco Crepe -- Smoked salmon with red onions, capers, spinach, dijon, and dill harvarti. Meh. The crepe is too soft and over-stuffed. Either the cooking technique or the ratio of ingredients in the filling is off; it's far too watery. The balance of flavors is off; there's too much acidity. Finally, why is the salmon...so cooked? That was definitely not what I was looking for.
