General Notes

A fantastic bakery, specializing in Japanese buns and pastries. They have a lot of interesting offerings, but from what I've heard from others, their savory offerings like shrimp katsu bun or mentai masago bun are the best. I was not disappointed -- each bun was super affordable and delicious. I know people who trek all the way down from the peninsula just to visit here! It's absolutely worth a try; just know that the wait can get pretty long during peak hours.

  • ★★☆☆ Corn + Mayonnaise Bread -- The flavors work together nicely. Not super noteworthy, but pretty solid overall.
  • ★★★★ Shrimp Katsu Bun -- This is SO GOOD and it's only $3.75 the last time I visited. Well-fried shrimp, flavorful, and the slaw lends it a nice balance.
  • ★★★☆ Ikura + Sake Onigiri -- The rice is nicely warm! This is my first time having ikura in onigiri, and it lends a delightful salty pop.
  • ★★★☆ Mentai Masago Bun -- The mentai masago is salty and super flavorful, and it works really well with the bun!
