General Notes
A lovely brunch restaurant right by the ocean. Great food, friendly service, and wonderful atmosphere. Very reasonably priced too, all things considered. Apparently the line can get pretty long, but we didn't have to wait much at all because we went during the holidays (when all the students are gone). I would definitely recommend coming for a relaxed brunch experience.
Positives
> The views are gorgeous. This restaurant is situated right by the ocean at the Scripps Institute of Oceanography. There's a lovely outdoor seating area overlooking the waterfront.
Dishes Tasted
- ★★★☆ Breakfast Potatoes -- Delightfully crispy, soft on the interior, and well seasoned. Would recommend getting this as a side for any of the sandwich / egg dishes.
- ★★★★ Butternut Squash Panini -- White cheddar cheese, arugula, truffle butter, roasted tomatoes, sourdough. This combination of ingredients works together SO WELL. Bread is well toasted, texture/flavor of butternut squash is great, and the truffle really brings everything together.
