General Notes

One of the most delicious brunch I've had in quite some time. Vibes are decidedly old-school, but the food is definitely not. I definitely want to return sometime to try their dinner menu as well. There's also a nice cafe next door called "The Waiting Room" that offers coffee, tea, and beer. They also have a sister restaurant "The Brickery" which serves pizza, which I'd love to try as well.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★☆ tour de mendocino -- brioche french toast, house made breakfast sausage link, two local eggs. This is one of the best breakfast links I've had in quite some time. It's like your typical grocery store breakfast sausage, elevated. The flavor is excellent, perfect texture. Eggs were good, brioche french toast was solid.
  • ★★★★ pork belly fried rice -- aromatic rice, crispy pork belly, prawns, snap peas, vietnamese herbs, sunny side up egg. This is DELICIOUS. The flavor is excellent, the addition of the herbs gives it a nice refreshing contrast. I also love the texture -- the rice is nice and crispy from searing it. The prawns are an excellent addition, and the pork belly is not very crispy but super tender and juicy. Overall, great dish.
