General Notes

A somewhat quaint Vietnamese restaurant in the outskirts of the Mission, bordering into Potrero, in the area I like to call "restaurant quarter" for all the upscale restaurants. This place was decent, though I've definitely had better banh mis in the past. They do have some interesting options that I've rarely seen elsewhere, like duck banh mis. A bit on the pricier side, but worth a try.

Positives

> Service is lovely; an old Asian woman owns the place and is a super sweet person.

Negatives

> They have some pretty erratic hours. Definitely check their hours before going. I've actually unsuccessfully tried to go here twice in the past; it turns out that the owner had some kind of emergency and wasn't there. So maybe call them too.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★☆☆ Roasted Duck Banh Mi -- French baguette, mixed greens, daikon and carrot pickles, Sriracha, jalapeno, cilantro, roasted duck. The flavor was a bit flat and unbalanced; it needed more acidity and freshness. The bread is also a touch too thick for my taste. The roast duck itself is solid, and I like that the baguette is buttered.
