General Notes
Indonesian restaurant in the heart of downtown Ashland. Decent food, strange drinks, and odd vibes (not a big fan of the open kitchen layout). Overall, not bad, but I probably wouldn't return in the future.
Positives
> A lot of their dishes are served with ulap, or Indonesian style green beans. This is an excellent side -- I really like the flavor of it.
Negatives
> We got the cocograss (coconut water, house made lemongrass syrup) and another drink with tonic water and lemongrass, and both tasted really strange. Would not recommend their drinks.
Dishes Tasted
- ★★★☆ balinese pork belly sate -- three grilled skewers marinaded in an Indonesian sweet soy sauce, lime, ginger, and garlic. Very nice flavor, juicy, savory, tender.
- ★☆☆☆ beef rendang -- Very flavorful. The spices are a little bit intense for me. I'm not a fan of how it's cooked -- it's fairly tender but also quite dry.
