General Notes
Bistro Jeanty is a classic French bistro, done well. The food is delicious and the portions are quite generous. Service is good, overall just a very enjoyable experience. There isn't any particular dish that is especially standout, but everything that we had was overall great. The outdoor seating is quite nice on a warm day.
Dishes Tasted
- ★★★☆ (special) veal sweetbreads -- veal sweetbreads, puff pastry, morel mushrooms, side salad. Quite a tasty combination, the sauces bring everything together.
- ★★★☆ blanquette de lapin -- rabbit loin wrapped in pancetta with braised leg, pappardelle pasta and shiitake mushrooms. The truffle flavor is a nice touch. The pasta is excellent.
- ★★★☆ salad lyonnaise -- escarole salad with soft boiled egg and warm bacon vinaigrette
- ★★★☆ (special) bone marrow + beef tartare -- beef tartare, bone marrow, bread, mustard.
