General Notes
Solid Italian restaurant with a traditional leaning, serving up mostly classic things that you might expect to see at a typical Italian restaurant. The food is quite good and the portions are actually quite massive. I really enjoyed the vibes of the restaurant -- we sat outdoors right by a giant fountain, and we were able to look out into the vineyard. Definitely recommend sitting outdoors on a warmer day.
Dishes Tasted
- ★★☆☆ rabbit ragu pappardelle -- Solid, the rabbit ragu itself is somewhat unspectacular but overall a good dish.
- ★★★☆ mandilli -- silk hankerchief pasta authentic genovese pesto. This is literally three giant sheets of pasta. The pesto sauce is quite good.
- ★★☆☆ caesar salad -- romaine, house croutons, parmigiano, anchovy. Somewhat un-noteworthy
- ★★★☆ carpaccio -- thinly sliced filet of beef, capers, arugula parmigiano, bistro breadstick.
- ★★★☆ fritto misto -- calamari, shrimp, fennel, onions, green beans, spicy aioli. Everything is fried well and I like how it truly is quite mixed and even has some vegetables. This is a pretty massive portion.
- ★★☆☆ gazpacho -- chilled tomato, pepper soup. It could have been a little more chilled and was a little too salty, but otherwise quite refreshing.
