General Notes

Upscale Mediterannean restaurant, right in the heart of the financial district. Definitely on the expensive side, but the food delivers. The lamb was really good, and I'd definitely want to try the Persian tahdig if I come again in the future. Good vibes (a lot of lovely outdoor seating) and friendly service. I came here for a "business dinner"; I probably wouldn't choose to come here myself but it's a great choice if you're getting the meal reimbursed.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★☆☆☆ Basque Cheesecake -- not bad per-se, but kinda meh. Had a bit of an odd texture.
  • ★★☆☆ Spiced Beef Dumplings -- hand-crafted and topped with garlic yogurt, chili oil, dried mint
  • ★★☆☆ Crispy Brussel Sprouts -- date vinaigrette, whipped goat cheese, aleppo pepper.
  • ★★★☆ Moroccan Cigars -- braised lamb, mushrooms, gruyere cheese, cinnamon, ground pistachio, tamarind mint chutney. An unusual dish for sure -- a bit too much cheese for my taste but the chutney was delightful.
  • ★★☆☆ Chicken and Speck Ham Croquettas -- fried & breaded with panko, served with quince marmalade, parmesan. Solid dish
  • ★★★☆ Spanish Octopus -- braised gigantes beans, chermoula, frisee. Flavorful, tender, and well-balanced. Delicious!
  • ★☆☆☆ Crispy Falafel -- ground chickpea & green lentil, served with labneh, tahini, cucumber, cumin, garlic, dill. The falafel is quite dry and a bit too hard on the exterior.
  • ★★★☆ Spit Roasted Half Lamb Rack -- gypsy peppers & eggplant, muhammara, aji panca sauce. The lamb was delightful -- so tender. The sauce and the muhammara were so flavorful and paired well with the lamb. Somewhat expensive at $51, but it definitely tasted great.
