General Notes

Incredible food, nice ambiance (note though, the restaurant is relatively cramped with a lot of communal tables, so there isn't much privacy), at a pretty reasonable price point for what you get. I've heard great things about this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. I've only been here for lunch, but I'd love to return to try some of their other offerings over dinner.

Positives

> They have a nice fixed-prix lunch option that allows you to try both of their apparently most popular items -- the chorizo stuffed dates (half portion) and their chicken pita, at a very reasonable price point.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★☆ Nutter Butter Square -- Imagine some kind of peanut-themed chocolate bar but elevated -- that's basically this. Really good, flavors are well balanced and nothing is too overwhelming.
  • ★★★★ Chicken Pita -- yogurt marinaded chicken on pita with fermented chili sauce, garlic toum and bread and butter pickles, lentil salad. The chicken is incredible -- juicy, beautifully charred, and super flavorful. The pita is fluffy on the inside and lightly crisp on the outside. The sauces bring everything together beautifully. The lentil salad is nice too!
  • ★★★☆ Chorizo Stuffed Dates -- chorizo-stuffed medjool dates with bacon and piquillo pepper-tomato sauce. Surprisingly, I wish there were a little bit more substance to the date, but overall the flavor combination is incredible, and this works beautifully.
