General Notes

Arepa Factory is a small, fast-casual restaurant serving up arepas and cachapas (corn buns/cakes filled with various ingredients). They also offer some small plates or finger foods. The food is reasonably priced but it is not particularly noteworthy or interesting either. The biggest issue I have with the food is the lack of textural contrast. While the flavors are decent, everything together feels mushy and unappetizing. I would not recommend Arepa Factory.

Negatives

> The inside of the restaurant is kind of disgusting. Maybe I just got unlucky, but the table I sat at was pretty sticky.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★☆☆ Arepa (create your own) -- Asado negro, mozzarella, black beans, caramelized onions. The texture of this combination was disappointing, although that was partially my fault. Too many soft ingredients, and the arepa itself didn't help with that. The arepa was a decent base for the other ingredients to shine through, but only the asado negro was particularly flavorful.
