General Notes

A lovely Italian restaurant right by the water, on the south side of Sausalito's shopping / restaurant district. It's a great option for dinner; the food is solid but relatively unspectacular, but the vibe and the views of the bay are lovely. In addition to dinner service, they apparently also have pastries on weekend mornings.

Positives

> Sit outdoors if you can -- the restaurant is right by the bay and there's a beautiful view of San Francisco. There are also often interesting passerby, sometimes with huge dogs.
> Compared to the rest of their menu, their desserts are ... surprisingly cheap. Relatively small desserts, but I don't necessarily want something super big / heavy usually.

Negatives

> The service was a little curt and often slow. I did come on a Saturday evening and they clearly were busy.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★☆☆ Orecchiette Primavera con Salcicce -- house-made orecchiette with green spring garlic, asparagus, sausage, shaved truffle pecorino over the top, and olive oil. The flavor combination was DELIGHTFUL. The orecchiette was weirdly shaped (I guess that's how you know it's house-made?) and a slightly overcooked.
  • ★★☆☆ Focaccia al Rosmarino -- house baked focaccia bread with rosemary and extra virgin olive oil. It tasted nice but ... unexpectedly thin for focaccia. I suppose I associate focaccia with a warm, fluffy interior and I didn't get that. The rosemary flavor was lovely, though.
