Great option for Cajun classics in downtown Berkeley. Good food, nice environment, reasonable prices, and lovely service.
Dishes Tasted
- ★★★★ Beignets w/ Rum Caramel Sauce -- their beignets are absolutely delightful. Definitely try them if you get a chance. They are MASSIVE. Perfect and freshly fried. The rum caramel sauce is well balanced and goes so well with the beignets.
- ★☆☆☆ Jambalaya -- sauce piquant, roasted chicken, tasso ham & andouille sausage. Not my favorite dish, the rice was a bit too soft/mushy and the flavor was a bit one-dimensional
- ★★★☆ Catfish Po' Boy -- lettuce, tomato, pickle, Creole mustard, mayonnaise, hot sauce. Served with potato salad. Lovely sandwich, great flavors, well balanced. The cornmeal crust on the catfish was a great touch.
