aloha Stacks Island Eatery is a Hawaiian-inspired brunch restaurant in Cerritos. Solid all-around food at a very reasonable price point. In a nice plaza with lovely outdoor seating. Beware of the traffic exiting South Street from the 605, though.

• ★★★☆ Chicken Katsu Curry and Eggs -- Well-fried chicken katsu, decent curry over rice, and two eggs. Large, solid all-around dish. It's remarkable to me that this much food is only $11.50
• ★★☆☆ Ube Coconut Pancakes -- Good flavor (can't go wrong with the combination of ube and coconut). Relatively fluffy pancakes, though the sauce was a bit too thick for my taste.
