Whipped Cream

The difference between store-bought whipped cream and freshly whipped cream is astronomical. A great pairing for almost any dessert! I kept it simple and topped some blueberries with it, and finished it off with a light drizzle of honey.

Active Time: 10 min

Total Time: 10 min

Ingredients

> 1 cup heavy whipping cream
> 3 tbsp powdered sugar
> 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prep: Place mixing bowl and electric mixer attachments into freezer, and thoroughly cool before using.
2. Combine the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Start mixing on low speed, and gradually increase the mixing speed. Keep mixing until soft or stiff peaks form.

Notes/Tips:

> The reason we freeze the electric mixer attachments and mixing bowl before starting is to keep the whipped cream as cool as possible. All that whipping introduces a lot of heat, and keeping the whipped cream cool helps it maintain its texture best.
> Feel free to adjust the amount of sugar and vanilla as desired.
